Hispanic Heritage Month Music Highlight

Hey Lancers,

Here is the next Hispanic musician we will be spotlighting today, Frankie Ruiz.

Frankie Ruiz, born Jose Antonio Torresola Ruiz, was a Puerto Rican-American singer especially popular in the 1980s and early 90s.  Ruiz made significant contributions to salsa music, specifically to the "salsa sensual" movement, also known as salsa romantica. He helped to revive salsa at a time when its popularity was on a downturn. He was considered “one of the best salseros ever", and Puerto Ricans abroad were particularly fond of him because his music brought back memories of their homeland. Without further ado, this is “Tu con El,” by Frankie Ruiz.

Tu con El TS: 0:29 – 1:32

That’s it from us today, Lancers. We hope you enjoyed!

Girls Basketball is hosting Open Gym opportunities this week!
