• Issue 4

On March 28, Kennedy Catholic students planned to join together to spend the day serving through the immersion program at Christ Our Hope. This Lenten Day of Service was intended to be filled with prayer, service, fellowship, and reflection. Lancers would learn more about justice issues impacting our downtown Seattle community and connect with residents in low-income housing at the Josephinum apartments.

While they weren’t able to connect in person, students in Ms. Lopez’s class continued their support by writing cards to the residents at the Josephinum filled with messages of hope, joy and better days to come.

Now, more than ever before, it is important for our community to stay connected and supportive of one another. Here is how you can help students continue their support:

1. Make a card/write a letter to show the residents at the Josephinum they are not alone and our community continues to care for them - these cards could be physical or digital ones.

2. Handwritten cards can be mailed to the following address:

Christ Our Hope
Attn: Lauren Pusich
1902 Second Ave
Seattle, WA 98101

3. Digital cards/letters can be emailed to immersions@christourhopeseattle.org with the subject line “You Are Not Alone – Letters of Support.”

Digital letters will be printed off in the office of Christ Our Hope and then delivered in residents mailboxes. This is because many of the residents do not have computers and places they would normally go to access free computers are closed
