Already a ‘Lancer for Life’
Among the many fresh faces at Kennedy Catholic this fall, only one is filling the role of new parent and new President/Principal. In just a few months, Mr. Matthew Mohs has fully embraced the essence of what it means to be a member of the Lancer family.
Mr. Mohs came to us from Minnesota with a great degree of experience as a leader in both public and private Catholic schools. After an extensive process, the 14-member search committee came to a clear consensus and recommendation regarding Mr. Mohs. His steady Catholic faith, academic vision, advocacy for diversity, prudent decision making, intentional relationship building with students and staff, communication skills, business acumen, and collaborative leadership style are impressive.
Mr. Mohs is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame and the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) program. He and his wife, Meghan, have two children, Alex and Abby, who is a proud Kennedy Catholic freshman this year.
"Throughout the interview process," Mr. Mohs shared, "I was impressed by the passion of everyone I met. Kennedy Catholic matched what I was looking for: a respectful, inclusive, Catholic community educating students not just for their own personal growth, but to develop leaders committed to justice, service, and the common good. I am excited to be part of the Lancer Family."
We are extremely excited to have Mr. Mohs leading the way as we begin the next chapter in the Kennedy Catholic story. “I look forward to working with the Lancer Family,” Mr. Mohs added, “to take Kennedy Catholic High School, in the words of Blessed Frassati, ‘to the heights.’”
