Dear Lancer Families,
Originally established to recognize the sacrifice and service of Americans during World War I, Veterans Day has become an important day for us to remember all of those who have donned a uniform in service to our country. The men and women in the Armed Forces have decided that protecting freedom around the globe is more important than the risk to their own lives. We salute them and their families for their bravery and thank them for their sacrifices. I'd especially like to honor those in our community, our alumni, faculty and staff, and parents who have served or are currently serving. We are indebted to you.
We are also proud of our athletes who committed to play in college at our first Letter of Intent Signing Day celebrations this past week. We recognized Olivia E., who is headed to Cal State San Marcos to play soccer, Lexi L. who will play soccer at Washington State University, Shelby L. who will join the softball team at St. Martin's University and Avery W. who signed with the University of Hawaii to play basketball. Congratulations to these students who have excelled on and off the field.
Lastly, congratulations to the Lancers Volleyball team for their qualification to the State Tournament next week. Their match tomorrow will help determine their seeding next week in Yakima. We wish them the best and are proud of the wonderful accomplishments our fall athletes.
Go Lancers!
In peace,
Matt Mohs
