- Issue 3
On behalf of the students, faculty, and staff at Kennedy Catholic High School - Thank you!
Contributions to our school directly benefit our students, families, faculty and staff – and gifts of every size are an essential part of our financial well-being.
It is the mission of Kennedy Catholic to graduate leaders following Christ in a school community that is accessible, diverse and committed to pursuing the fullest potential of every student. Many would say this is an ambitious mission – and we would agree. Why then, are we so committed to it? Our school reflects the Church itself. We are a body of people united by the profession of our faith. We are of one body – the body of Christ.
This year, with the support of our community, we’ve accomplished much; we replaced the track on the athletic field, remodeled the international dormitory, painted and upgraded the cafeteria, and working with our architect and the City of Burien, finalized and formalized the design and permitting for the makerspace and fitness center project scheduled to begin construction in the summer of 2020. As with all facility updates, it is our goal to enhance the learning environment for our students and provide an innovative space to encourage creativity and discovery.
In addition, gifts made to the annual fund support our operational expenses which allows us to offer rigorous academic programs, financial aid for students who may otherwise not have access to a Catholic high school education, leadership experiences and state-of-the-art facilities.
Our staff is organized, welcoming and deeply committed to our mission. Our students are engaging, prepared, and excited about their experiences at Kennedy Catholic. Our community is loyal, generous and steadfast.
Faculty, staff, parents, past-parents, grandparents, alumni and friends made gifts to Kennedy Catholic this past year through in-kind contributions, countless volunteer hours and monetary support. The 2019 Annual Report includes financial contributions made to the school from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.
We are grateful for each and every benefactor without whose support our success and accomplishments would not be possible.
May the unity of our faith and our mission inspire us today and in the future.
