The following is a public, high-level schematic of the Kennedy Catholic multi-year technology plan. This document serves as a roadmap for the major educational and operational initiatives performed by the Technology Department. The information herein is divided into two major content areas; educational "In the Classroom" and operational "In the Broader Community." Please feel free to explore this public plan by expanding each heading within the content areas.

Bring Your Own Device Program (BYOD)

All families will be responsible to purchase or provide a laptop for their student based on the minimum required specification. Kennedy Catholic is offering to assist families with making a device selection. Technology department staff are willing to discuss options to assists families in finding a good quality device in the best possible price range. Please contact us with questions. Purpose(s):

Service Desk , Support Systems, and Policies

The "Help Desk" at Kennedy Catholic High School provides technology support to all staff, teachers, students. Additionally, support is available to families for troubleshooting of Kennedy Catholic systems, software and Kennedy Catholic owned devices relating to their student's educational pursuits. Limited support may be available for home devices and netwoks if impacting the student's access to educational materials.

Section 2

Definitions

Support Requests

For the purposes of this agreement, a Support Request is generally defined as a request for support to fix a problem or to resolve an issue or to make modifications to the functionality of an existing system. Requests to modify the functionality of an existing system are only covered under this agreement if under five days of effort.

In the event of an emergency, staff shall request service either directly from the appropriate service department resource or by telephone. All other requests shall be made through the help desk website or by sending an email to the Tech Support mailbox. Staff may monitor the status of service requests at the help desk website.

The Service Department shall provide staff with separate statements of work for services not included under this Service Level Agreement.

Acknowledge

Acknowledge is the elapsed time between submission of the Support Request and initial service department contact with the user.

Response

Response is the elapsed time between submission of the Support Request and the start of effort to resolve the issue.

Resolution

Resolution is the elapsed time between submission of the Support Request and the satisfactory completion of the request.

Roles and Responsibilities

Kennedy Catholic High School Staff have the following responsibilities under this agreement:

Conduct business in a courteous and professional manner with the Service Department.
Use the appropriate methods to request support from the help desk.
Use the help desk to create service request tickets.

Provide all information required to open a support service request.
Once a service request has been submitted, make themselves available to work with the Service Department support resource assigned to the service request.
Contact support resources directly or by telephone to report emergencies only; all service requests must be logged through the help desk website.
Provide feedback to help desk resource person if issue is not satisfactorily resolved.
