Ways To Give

Annual Fund

For nearly 50 years, Kennedy Catholic High School has graduated leaders following Christ in a school community that is accessible, diverse and committed to pursuing the fullest potential of every student. To uphold the mission of Kennedy Catholic High School we rely on the generosity of donors to support the Annual Fund. Parents, teachers, staff, friends, grandparents, alumni, and parents of alumni can all impact the lives of students with a gift to the Annual Fund. Your donation will help build the future of our school, provide opportunities, keep tuition reasonably priced and affordable, and enrich all of our programs: academics, arts, technology, athletics, campus ministry, and the financial aid program. Your gift makes an immediate difference in the day to day life of our students. Every student is a direct beneficiary of contributions made.

Thank you to all who have made a donation this past year. All donations are important and appreciated. The goal is 100% participation from parents, alumni, and friends. Strong funding commitments from our constituents is key to outside organizations supporting Kennedy Catholic through their donations. Your gift to the Annual Fund will ensure that Kennedy Catholic will continue to be a guiding force in students’ lives fostering a relationship with God, educating the whole person and inspiring a life-long commitment to learning and service. Together we can ensure that the tradition of a Kennedy Catholic High School education remains strong.

Q & A ABOUT THE ANNUAL FUND

Q: Is parent, alumni, and community participation important?

A: YES! 100% participation is as important as meeting our overall financial goal and ensuring every deserving student has access to a life-changing education at Kennedy Catholic. Before outside funding sources, such as foundations, will consider donating their dollars, they want to know that families, faculty, alumni, and friends are supporters as well. EVERY gift counts! Thank you!

Q: What is the suggested donation level?

A: The difference between cost of education and tuition charged is $1,500 per student. It is our hope that all stakeholders in the success of Kennedy Catholic School prayerfully discern a meaningful amount to donate. We hope that Kennedy Catholic families, alumni, and friends will choose to make our school their philanthropic priority.

Q: Why not charge the full cost for the services provided rather than asking for gifts? Why doesn't Kennedy Catholic just raise tuition to cover the additional expenses?

A: It is our mission to remain accessible to families seeking a college preparatory Catholic high school. As a result, we work diligently to keep tuition costs down so that the school remains affordable to as many families as possible.

Q: Is it possible to spread my gift out over time?

A: To make a donation that spreads over the school year, we ask that you fill out the Annual Fund Commitment Form, including the total amount you wish to donate for this year and the increments in which you wish to make your donation. Payment options include check, MasterCard, or VISA. We can also send reminders at intervals that work best for you.

Q: Will I receive a tax benefit from my donation?

A: Yes. Kennedy Catholic School is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation under the laws of the United States. No goods or services will be received in exchange for your gift, so it will be tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Written recognition of your gift will be provided for tax purposes.

Q: Is there anything I can do to encourage my employer to contribute to the school?

A: Yes. Many employers offer Matching Gift programs. In some cases, gifts from spouses, directors, and retired employees will be matched as well. Please take the time to determine whether your employer offers such a program – it could serve to double your donation! Do not hesitate to ask the school for whatever documentation you might need in order to facilitate a matching gift.

Q: Is it possible to make a memorial or “in honor of” gift?

A: Memorial gifts – gifts in memory of someone you loved or admired – are a particularly meaningful way to contribute to our Annual Fund. “In honor of” gifts for all occasions (a student's birthday or parents' anniversary, for example) are also lasting tributes.
