The first official day of 2017 fall sports for golf is Monday, August 21, 2017. Fall sports registration is now available, and all interested participants must complete that prior to attending practice. The golf program offers two levels of play; varsity and junior varsity. Cuts may be made based on the number of interested participants.
August tryout and practice schedule:
- Tryouts: 8/21, 8/22 from 2:30-4:45pm. 8/24 practice will run 1:00-3:00pm. Following the 3rd day, teams will be announced.
- Practices: 8/25 (8:00-10:00am), 8/28, 8/29, 8/30 (in gym) and 8/31 from 3:05-4:55.
All practices unless otherwise noted will be held at nearby Glen Acres Golf and Country Club. Students must provide their own transportation.
Games schedules will be posted online through NPSLathletics.org. Practice schedules will be released to the team when available.

Kale DyerBoys & Girls Golf Coach
Kale started his coaching career as the Varsity assistant boys and girls golf coach at Meridian High School in Bellingham from 1994-1998. Kale also attended and competed in Varsity men’s golf for Western Washington University. While a member of the Varsity golf team at WWU, Kale competed in two NAIA National Championships placing 4th in 1998. After graduating in 1998 with a BA in Education from WWU, Kale was the Varsity Assistant Boys and Girls Golf coach for one season at Mt. Baker High School.
Kale became the Head Boys and Girls Golf Coach at Kennedy Catholic in the fall of 2004. Hired at Kennedy Catholic in 2005, Kale teaches math and physics. Kale went on to earn a MA in Theological with a focus in leadership in 2009. Kale coaches at Kennedy Catholic because athletics provide a unique platform to build and encourage character development. The classroom is one avenue, in Kale’s case, the golf course provides another. He strives to ensure all kids reach their full potential. Coaching is a way Kale can participate in that journey.
Seamount League Coach of the Year honors: 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2015.
His vision for the boy’s golf team is that all players that come in contact with our Lancer team grow in their love for the game and develop character as a person.
