JoAnne Ludwig, Assistant Principal in charge of Academics
Course Outlines:
Mrs. Ludwig has her degree in French from Seattle University. She received her teaching credentials (K-12) and her M.Ed in Curriculum and Instruction/French Language Learning also from Seattle University. She did post graduate studies at the Universite de Grenoble (France) and earned the Diplome d'Aptitude a l'Enseignement du Francais a l'Etranger from this French University. Mrs. Ludwig has taught French at John F. Kennedy High School for 37 years and took over the job of Academic Dean in 2005. Mrs. Ludwig's family was active in fund-raising for Kennedy High School in the late 1950's. She has been a member of Holy Family Parish (Seattle) her entire life and remembers the swamp area prior to Kennedy being built!

Mrs. Ludwig is joined by Seafair dignitaries.
Mrs. Ludwig is also very active with the Seafair Festival, currently serving as the Co-Chair of the Seafair Scholarship Program for Women. She was recently recognized as an Honorary Seattle Seafair Commodore and Honorary Seafair Parade Marshal. Ask her what it's like to ride on an Alabama-Class submarine, dine with Apolo Ono, experience Chinese food with the Moyer family, ride in a hydro, be invited by the Admiral of the Northwest Region for dinner, greet the Blue Angels upon arrival each summer at Boeing Field, stand on the pitcher's mound for a first pitch at a Mariner's game, sit in the owner's suite, drink halo, halo, chat with Nolan Ryan, chat with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and see all of the wonderful areas of this beautfiul city! This will be her 32nd year of invovlement with Seafair.
