Welcome to the J.F.K. Art And Religion Dept. I have had the privilege to work at J.F.K. High for seven years . I am a graduate of Seton Hill University with a degree in Art and Religion. I was affiliated with The Sisters Of Charity for four and a half years. As a Sister of Charity I taught at Greensburg Central High and earned the name,"Sister Mary Sketchbook." I later left the convent and married and had two children who attended J.F.K.High. My husband was a Lancer in his high school in England. I was a Lancer at my high school in Arizona and both my kids were Lancers here at J.F.K.! Lancers unite! One thing I try to convey to my art students is to look at something, not just for what it is, but what more it can become! Art is my passion and I hope to share this with your student. I teach Clay and Sculpture , Intro to Art , Stain Glass as well as Moral Decisions. I am also the director of the Art Club after school. Below are some examples of my art. I "dabble" in oil paint, photography, stain glass and sculpture to name a few. I recently painted a portrait of my son Zach in his dress blues.
